Central Bank of Jordan Promotes Financial Literacy in Celebration of Arab Financial Inclusion Day

As part of the Central Bank of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy and banking awareness across the Kingdom, and in celebration of Arab Financial Inclusion Day, the Central Bank carried out a series of awareness and educational activities targeting various groups, including youth, women, persons with disabilities, and children. These activities were conducted across multiple governorates with the aim of increasing financial literacy and enhancing financial inclusion in Jordan.

Participants were introduced to a variety of financial products and services and were encouraged to save through formal financial channels. The initiatives also aimed to strengthen participants’ ability to manage their expenses effectively. Additionally, the sessions focused on educating them about their rights and responsibilities as financial consumers and promoting the use of electronic payment tools, while also raising awareness about the risks of financial cyber fraud.

The sessions included an evaluation quiz for participants, and Mr. Taj Khammash, Chief Business Officer at Middle East Payment Services (MEPS), distributed awards to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the assessment.
