ATM machines are not simply the principal point of contact between a bank and their customers, they are trusted lifelines... They are becoming a fourth emergency service.
Offering access to money 24 hours a day and in a wide variety of locations, ATM machines are not simply the principal point of contact between a bank and their customers, they are trusted lifelines that provide a range of services at the customers’ convenience. They are becoming a fourth emergency service. This vital connection requires constant management and investment, whether to ensure each ATM remains fully operational, is connected via Switch to core banking system, or, perhaps most importantly, has sufficient stocks of money to meet customer need. MEPS is able to offer banks front-line support to any ATM network, with 24-hour, seven-day monitoring of each machine and the accompanying technological support. MEPS also manages the full reconciliation process between an ATM machine and the cardholder’s bank. This includes continuous monitoring and reporting of card use, which is a vital first line of defence against card theft and fraud.
